UnitedPharmacies Now Accepts Bitcoin Payments

Adding use cases for Bitcoin is the best way to grow the ecosystem as a whole. While buying prescription drugs with Bitcoin may not be a top priority for most people, it goes to show cryptocurrency is making waves in the pharmaceutical sector as well. Unitedpharmacies will have to build up their reputation before people trust the platform, though.

Buying Legal Drugs With Bitcoin

One of the more often heard complaints about Bitcoin is how the cryptocurrency can’t be spent on real-life products and services. Buying prescription drugs, for example, would be a perfect fit for Bitcoin transactions. Up until this point, Bitcoin has often been associated with illegal drug trafficking on the dark web, and it would be good to see the different side of the medallion for a change.

UnitedPharmacies feels they can fill this spot, as the company recently started accepting Bitcoin payments. It is rather odd to see an online pharmacy sell over-the-counter drugs in exchange for Bitcoin to customers all over the world. But at the same time, this also showcases the power of Bitcoin as a global payment method.

As one may have expected, UnitedPharmacies has decided to offer Bitcoin users a 10% discount for every order. This is one of the many strengths of Bitcoin, as it is a far cheaper payment solution compared to most other options available. Since all transaction fees are paid by the sender, UnitedPharmacies will not receive less money from the purchase.

Passing along these savings onto the customer is something most companies dealing with Bitcoin tend to forget. For most people, it won’t make sense to spend cryptocurrency if their order total remains the same compared to other payment methods. After all, users have to go out of their way to use bitcoin, and without incentive, they are less inclined to do so.

For now, it is anybody’s guess as to how successful this move by UntiedPharmacies will be. An international platform to buy legal drugs with Bitcoin will be severely scrutinized. At the same time, these efforts will help cryptocurrency go mainstream in the long run. Be careful when ordering from this site, even though there are plenty of reviews indicating the company is completely legitimate.
