Intercollegiate Trivia on Blockchain and Bitcoin Has Started

Educating people about Bitcoin and blockchain technology is of great importance to the digital currency ecosystem. Thanks to efforts such as the Blockchain Education Network, it has become much easier to approach college and university students about digital currency and distributed ledger technology. A partnership between Blockchain Education Network and Purse brings an intercollegiate trivia competition to the table, which could be quite significant for the future of digital currency in general.

Blockchain Madness Intercollegiate Trivia

What makes the partnership between Purse and Blockchain Education Network so interesting is how they will bring the Blockchain Madness Intercollegiate Trivia to some of the most prominent universities and colleges in the United States. Educational efforts need to be widespread, and this is a significant step in the right direction.

Among the locations where students can engage in this intercollegiate trivia competition are NYU, University of Toronto, UC Berkeley, and MIT, to name a few. The competition kicked off on March 15th, and there is no end date scheduled just yet. During the first week, Laurier faced off against McGill, and Georgia Tech took on MIT.

This event is the first type of blockchain game show ever to be held on such a large scale. Blockchain Education Network – formerly known as College Cryptocurrency Network – has always been targeting the students of today, as s they will be the future entrepreneurs and CEOs of a brand new world.

By pitting various universities and colleges against one another, there is a certain “fun” aspect of this initiative, which will only help spread the word about blockchain in general. Every university will form a team of blockchain and Bitcoin all’-stars to compete in the Blockchain Madness Intercollegiate Trivia.

Moreover, the event is set up in such a way it is a friendly competition between the US and Canada, as both countries are represented by three teams each. All of the colleges and universities involved have some history with Bitcoin and blockchain technology already, so it makes sense to put an extra focus on the efforts made so far.
