France Receives a New Bitcoin ATM

ATM Bitcoin Exchange begins its international expansion campaign by installing a bitcoin ATM in France. The selected location is Montpellier. France has four of such devices fully operational inside its borders.

GrupoBTC France a franchise of the mother company (ATM Bitcoin Exchange) has installed the bitcoin ATM at the address UNPI 34 Chambre des Propriétaires et Copropriétaires 23 Boulevard du Jeu de Paume.

The ATM fabricated by BTC Fácil allows the purchasing and selling of bitcoins (two-way bitcoin ATM). The machine is controlled remotely using “top-notch security features” like double factor authentication (2FA) and physical security token.

According to the manufacturer, the ATM’s GUI (graphic user interface) is centered around usability and was refined through the testing and study of human reactions over a hundred of usability tests. The ATM’s onboard computer is also equipped with multimedia content, designed to teach the user about the basics of Bitcoin technology and how to use the ATM.

Group BTC France is a subsidiary of ATMs Bitcoin Exchange, a company founded in Gerona in January 2015, the company’s goal is to install and manage Bitcoin ATMs. To date, the venture oversees 18 units in Spain alone and now has begun an international expansion plan which now aims to the south of France and Greece for the months to come.
