Lots of people around the world are trying to make money off of Bitcoin, yet they have no clue how to go about it. This is not as uncommon as one might think in the world of finance as successful day trading is not easily achieved. A new post on Reddit has surfaced advertising a piece of software by the name of Bitcoin Robot that will make users profit on autopilot. While this sounds great on paper, anyone can clearly see this is a scam and potentially a virus that will try to steal your Bitcoin wallet.dat file.

First of all, there is the dubious question of advertising the existence of this software on the Bitcoin subreddits. Experienced users will clearly read between the lines of these posts and notice how the Bitcoin Robot advertisement is something that should be avoided at all costs. At the same time, there are a lot of novice users who see easy profits and might fall victim to the virus and download the program in question.
It is hard to gauge what the result will be if someone installs the Bitcoin Robot software, but one can be certain it will not make them a profit by any means. The program is hosted on a dodgy website, and is listed as “regular value “ US$498”. However, users can now download it for free thanks to this kind user. For those who are legitimately interested in this software, make sure to check out the official website.
Which brings us to the second point: if this software were to be legitimate – which is very doubtful – why would anyone share free copies of Bitcoin Robot with the rest of the world? The main purpose of this software is – allegedly – to trade on autopilot, which could earn users over one full Bitcoin in profits per day. If so much money is to be made from this software, the last thing anyone would do is share it with the world for free.
Even though this offer may sound enticing, anyone can see this software is not intended for people looking to make money from trading Bitcoin. It is certainly possible to earn over one Bitcoin per day through successful trading, and there are some working trading bots out there. But most of the successful traders still do everything manually, as they study charts and technical analysis details to make a proper decision.

This Bitcoin Robot download could very well be a piece of ransomware, and users should avoid downloading it at all costs.
