What Is Viberate?

Competition in the world of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency can only be considered a good thing. Viberate is a clear example of how both of these innovative technologies can make an impact on the music industry moving forward. It aims to build a smart way to explore live music.

What is Viberate Exactly?

Finding live music events to attend can be quite challenging, depending on what part of the world you live in. Having one “unified hub” for all of this information is something a lot of people will be interested in. Viberate aims to provide exactly that, as the platform lets users browse thousands of profiles of musicians, venues, and events. This makes it easier to collect the information needed, integrate it with social media, and keep tabs on the live music industry as a whole.

How Does it all Work?

Viberate is on a mission to revamp the live music industry as a whole. By giving every musician on the planet an equal opportunity to get into the spotlight, Viberate is going down a very interesting path. Anyone is welcome to list their information through this blockchain-based platform, including band information, gig dates, et cetera. Any musician needs more advertising opportunities, after all.

This platform is not just about making artists more “discoverable”, though. Viberate aims to enhance the way musicians present themselves and receive bookings. Decentralizing the discovery and booking processes through blockchain technology is a challenge, but it seems the project is off to a pretty good start. It is a great way to bring artists and (potential) fans closer together without relying on centralized intermediaries.

In the future, this crowdsourced live music ecosystem and blockchain marketplace will continue to grow. Matching musicians with booking agencies and event organizers is the ultimate goal, as the first steps in doing so have already been taken. With over 150,000 artists listed on the platform already, it will be interesting to see how blockchain technology can affect the live music industry.

The Viberate Token Explained

The main purpose of Viberate’s token – known as VIB – is to let anyone earn and spend money through this new platform. It allows for global community activation, access to premium industry contacts, merchandise, booking fee payments, advertising opportunities on the main site, and even the purchase of event tickets. If this ecosystem can continue to grow, it seems only normal to expect the VIB value to respond in kind. For now, we will have to wait and see how things evolve in this regard.

The Viberate Roadmap

A lot of things are happening behind the scenes at Viberate as we speak. For now, the team is launching event organizer profiles, with ticket sale platform integration to follow later this year. Business and booking platform support will also be introduced in the next few months. Next year, extended blockchain feature integration – including smart contracts and DAOs – will be coming to Viberate as well.
