1. Tokyo, Japan
Statistics and reports have shown for the past decade that Japan is the most technologically advanced city in the world. Tokyo is home to ground breaking robotic technology and artificial intelligence that has not, as yet, been seen anywhere else in the world. The Capital is also home to the world’s fastest rail car system. It’s well known that the most advanced smartphone technology also comes from Japan.
2. Silicon Valley
The nickname of the southern region of San Francisco, Silicon Valley is known as the second most technologically advanced city in the world and the number one in the United States. Silicon Valley is home to major tech. companies like Adobe, Google, HP, Apple Inc., and Tesla Motors. The Valley is also home to a few government facilities such as Moffett Federal Airfield, NASA Ames Research Center, and Onizuka Air Force Station.
Officially the Republic of Singapore, this sovereign state is home to some of the world’s greatest technology. Virtually every structure in the city uses the latest internet advancements and technology. Singapore’s architecture and buildings are also noted to be among some of the most advanced in the world. Even stores are all digitally connected to make data gathering and monitoring easier. Singapore is home to The Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Resort, which is considered to be among the top three most advanced designed structures in the world.
Seoul is responsible for most of Korea’s yearly earnings. Most of the population of Seoul works for leading tech companies. Seoul National University of Science and Technology is hailed as one of the leading, most innovative universities in the world. The city is also home to broadcasting, film production, video games, online shopping centers, and e-learning giants. A 133-floor Digital Media City Landmark building resides here, and is the second tallest building in the world, behind the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.
The Chinese city has been noted to be the fastest growing technological principality in the world–not fast enough to be at the top of the list, but certainly fast enough to be noted. Taipei is home to some of the leaders in the electronics industry such as Quanta Computer, the world’s largest manufacturer of notebook computers in the world. Compal Electronics, the world’s second largest manufacturer of laptops in the world, also calls Taipei home. Also situated inside of Taipei is a company called Hon Har Precision Industry. HHPI is the world’s largest electronics manufacturer and the world’s third-largest information technology company.
