Ethereum Classic Trading is Now Live on Kraken

Some exchanges are doing their due diligence when it comes to adding new currencies. Kraken, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, has added Ethereum Classic to their platform a few minute ago. Users can now trade ETC against Ethereum, Bitcoin, and even fiat currencies if they prefer to do so.

Kraken Adds Proper Ethereum Classic Support

Contrary to some other exchanges, Kraken has done their homework when it comes to adding Ethereum Classic to the platform. Some exchanges are openly hostile towards adding this cryptocurrency, and that is understandable. However, it is good to see the available ETC supply being distributed among exchange platforms, instead of having all of the funds floating around on Poloniex.

For the time being, the ETC trading market is relatively quiet on the Kraken exchange. That is not entirely surprising either, considering how Kraken has not been a primary platform for Ethereum itself either. Then again, more platforms to buy, sell, and hold ETC are always welcome, and it is good to have a major exchange on board.

Many people expect this addition to boost the Ethereum Classic price in the coming hours, albeit it remains to be seen whether this will be the case. It has to be said, the ETC price has been relatively stable over the past 12 hours, even though a lot of people hoped for more action to score some profits.

Contrary to what some of the “cryptocurrency experts” expected, however, the price did not collapse entirely either. Granted, yesterday reached a new all-time high which seems pretty far away right now. Then again, these are still the very early days, and many people still don’t properly understand what ETC is all about.

More exchanges are expected to add Ethereum Classic trading in the coming days and weeks. There have been rumors regarding Yunbi opening up an ETC/CNY market today, albeit that has not been confirmed just yet. Bitfinex has also announced they are working on adding Ethereum Classic but did not provide a timeline.
