Checking The Bitcoin Price On Your Apple Watch

Digital currency enthusiasts want nothing more than to be kept up t date regarding the Bitcoin price at any given time. Although the modern digital currency has matured beyond most of its price volatility in recent times, the value per Bitcoin remains important to all of us. Several images have surfaced detailing a new Apple Watch watchface, which not only tells the data and time but also updates the Bitcoin price several times per hour. Quite convenient for some, while potentially useless for others, but interesting nonetheless.

Bitcoin Price Ticker On Apple Watch

Wearables present an exciting medium to start a conversation about, as this type of technology remains relatively new. Some industry experts would even call this a niche market, as smart watches is not something every consumer wants in their daily lives. But at the same time, there is much more to an Apple Watch than just a fancy design with some applications running in the background.

The images found in this album on Imgur show how somebody managed to integrate a small price ticker into their watchface. Rather than taking over this little touchscreen in its entirety, the Bitcoin price ticker will sit in the top left corner of the screen, where it remains rather unobtrusive.

As one would come to expect from a feature displaying the current Bitcoin price, updates are needed at regular intervals. This particular Apple Watch skin will refresh the Bitcoin price two to three times per hour, and display the Bitcoin price in the user’s preferred denomination. For example, USD, EUR, JPY, CAD, and GBp are among the supported fiat currency values.

There is a fair bit of customization possible, as users can display the Bitcoin price – as well as other altcoin prices including Ethereum, Dash, and Dogecoin – on a modular watchface as well. Customization is always a good thing in the world of digital currency, as not everyone is interested in just the Bitcoin price.

Owners of the Apple Watch can download this application in the App Store here. Keeping in mind how this feature will update several times per day, additional battery drain may be noted by users. But in the end, it is great to see some app developers are thinking outside of the proverbial box to make Bitcoin a bigger topic of conversation among technology enthusiasts.
