Participants will be given 24h to show their coding skills by designing blockchain-based prototypes for the financial and supply chain industries.
The top 3 designs, which will be selected by a panel of judges, will be awarded with bitcoin prizes; First place, $20,000 in BTC; Thomson Reuters Challenge Prize, $2,500 in BTC; Runners-up Prize, $2,500 in BTC.
David Bailey, CEO of BTC Media, said that his company is “extremely pleased” to be collaborating with SixThirty, adding that SixThirty’s insight and experience in the fintech space will make this event a great success.
SixThirty Managing Partner, Atul Kamra, views the upcoming conference as a great opportunity to showcase the region’s strong presence on the global fintech map, “The partnership harnesses St.Louis’ regional strength in financial services, the breadth and depth of our global corporate community here and the flourishing tech start-up scene…and it brings us together around a real timely and relevant opportunity.” said Karma, in the press release.
At the conference, BTC Media will officially launch Distributed, a blockchain-focused news portal that will cover developments in “many nonfinancial industries including supply chain management, healthcare, IoT, insurance and identity.”
