Peer-reviewed digital currency academic journal Ledger, has announced the appointment of Dr. Kumhof to its editorial board.
Michael Kumhof boasts an impressive resume with ample experience in government affairs, academic research and corporate banking. Dr. Kumhof is currently a Research Advisor in the newly-formed Research Hub at the Bank of England.
“His main research interests include monetary reform (including digital currencies), the role of banks in the macro-economy, and the role of economic inequality in causing imbalances and crisis.”
Kumhof has also worked as the Deputy Division Chief at the IMF’s Modelling Division where he authored “The Chicago Plan Revisited”, a paper examining how the Great Depression reforms could be applied in today’s economic environment.

The professor taught economics at Stanford University between 1998 and 2004. He also worked for Barclays Banks between 1988 and 1993. His research papers have been published in some of the most prestigious scientific journals such as the Journal of Macroeconomics.
Ledger also announced the appointment of three new members to its editorial team; Charles Evans, an Associate Professor of Economics at Barry University; Antony Zegers, Electric engineer from University of Toronto; Josh Westmoreland, an attorney with interest in blockchain technology.
The Ledger journal is published on a quarterly basis through the Pittsburgh University library system. The journal is currently free of charge and is open to the general public.
