Spreading the word on Bitcoin and digital currency can be done in a variety of ways. However, the key demographic for Bitcoin adoption are the millennials, who are currently finishing up their studies in universities all over the world. While there are some educational efforts targeting millennials at the university level specifically, there is no better time than now to double down on these efforts.

There is one particular reason university students are a prime demographic for Bitcoin and digital currency, as these
people have been growing up in a world of Internet connectivity and non-traditional payment methods. Such a potent combination makes for an excellent breeding ground as far as Bitcoin, and digital currency is concerned. However, bringing the concept of Bitcoin to these students is not as easy as it may sound. Without proper educational efforts at the university level, the job suddenly becomes a lot harder than it should be. However, universities themselves might be an ally in this fight, as they all like to be the frontrunners when it comes to embracing new technology.
Keeping in mind how topics such as
Artificial Intelligence and 3D Printing are getting a lot of attention from university professors, why not talk about finance in the same regard? Bitcoin and the blockchain will become an important part of everyday lives at some point in the future, and students need to be prepared for the changes that are coming to us.At its core, Bitcoin is another new technology that has a lot of potential for the future. Even though the modern digital currency has only been around for a few years, Bitcoin has been making a name for itself. Granted, there is a bit of a colored past to take into account, although part of it has been blown out of proportion by mainstream media outlets.
Unlike what most people assume, Bitcoin is not just about the digital currency itself, as its implications go way beyond changing the financial sector. There are plenty of technological aspects of Bitcoin that deserve further attention, and as more people get hands-on with the technology, the digital currency can grow and evolve.
Bitcoin is all about forming a community, and universities follow that same train of thought. It only seems natural for both worlds to come together and create a whole new ecosystem. There are a few
Bitcoin university clubs in existence already, and there is, of course, the Blockchain Education Network. More efforts are needed, though, and all university students are invited to spread the word about Bitcoin.Source: Reddit
