Cryptocurrency has made quite a few appearances on various TV shows over the years. Most of those “guest roles” have not shed any positive light on cryptocurrency in the slightest, which is not a big surprise. Cheddar, a web TV network based in the US, is now airing its “Crypto Craze” show every Thursday.
The Crypto Craze TV Show
As the name somewhat suggests, Cheddar’s new TV show is all about cryptocurrency. The weekly show will focus on cryptocurrency trading, which always makes for some interesting discussions. Given the volatility of cryptocurrency markets these days, not a day goes by without major price swings in either direction. As such, discussing these movements on a weekly TV show simply makes a lot of sense.
It seems the show itself will cover a wide range of topics, including trading strategies and technology breakdowns. There is a lot to talk about when it comes to crypto, even though most people are only interested in making money quickly. Whether or not Crypto Craze will cater to that specific niche has yet to be determined at this stage.
Moreover, it seems Cheddar is mainly targeting millennials, which is remarkable given that this demographic remains on the fence about Bitcoin and altcoins. Half of millennials seem interested in investing in Bitcoin and top altcoins, whereas the other half are not too impressed by this new form of money. It will be quite intriguing to see if “Crypto Craze” can make any discernible impact on this demographic moving forward.
For the time being, the official show description mentions Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and “other digital assets”. It also appears the TV show will focus on blockchain technology, mining, initial coin offerings, and regulation. There are a lot of interesting topics to keep an eye on in this regard, although it is important to keep users informed as far as all these angles are concerned.
While it is true that cryptocurrency has been a very important industry to a lot of people as of late, the success of this TV show is not guaranteed. The cryptocurrency craze is certainly legitimate and is probably here to stay for quite some time to come. At the same time, TV shows do not have the best of track records when it comes to highlighting the positive aspects of cryptocurrency. We can only hope Cheddar decides to take the right approach in this regard.
It is not the first time the station has aired a show focused on trading either. Last year, it ran “The Long and the Short”, a trading strategies-filled show for millennials. By venturing into cryptocurrency, the station is taking a very interesting approach, although it remains to be seen how all of this plays out in the future. Enthusiasts who have access to Cheddar may want to check out this upcoming TV show, as it may bring some positive attention to cryptocurrency as a whole.
