Agentic Group Collaborates with Government of Bermuda on Digital Currency Incubator

New York-based Agentic Group LLC – a global consortium with members in the blockchain, fintech and digital currency industries – announced a new initiative this week with Bermuda’s Government.

The initiative will see Agentic Group, which also has offices in Paris and London, working with the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) on raising awareness about the benefits of blockchain technology and digital currencies in the region.

Rik Willard, Founder and Managing Director of Agentic Group, said that the organization is “delighted” to be working with the BMA. According to the press release, Agentic Group will establish facilities in Bermuda to help kickstart the British island territory’s fintech industry, “We look to working closely with government to establish both a digital currency incubator and blockchain startup facility in Bermuda” said Willard.

Agentic Group’s 33-member consortium is comprised of some of the most recognisable names in the blockchain industry like the BitGive Foundation, Bitcoin’s first 501c nonprofit, and digital currency news service BraveNewCoin.

On Monday, Agentic Group tweeted about its collaboration with the Government of Bermuda:

The consortium has continued to expand its roster of advisors and experts. Earlier this month, the Agentic Group brought in Ann Camarillo, former CEO of payment processor Maestro and global ATM network Cirrus, as a Senior Advisor. Furthermore, Rik Willard will be moderating the Putting the FINN in US Tech conference, held in New York on June 15th, 2016.
