9 Tips to Effectively Distribute Your Cryptocurrency Press Release

Running crypto news sites for 5+ years I have seen hundreds of PRs published on our network of properties. This article should serve as a guideline for anyone who wishes to distribute their own press release and is looking to get the best results when it comes to readership and conversions. Let’s go over 9 tips to successfully distribute your cryptocurrency press release:

1. Short and Sweet

A press release is not an essay, it’s a short article that gets a certain message across. From my experience, the sweet spot for a successful crypto press releases is in the range of 300-500 words.

Anything more than 600 words is going to bore the reader and is going to decrease your chances of conversions. Shorter press releases in the range of 200-300 words can still work as long as the message is simple, but anything lower than that is a waste of a PR.

2. Have a hook

A press release should have some sort of hook. Whether it’s a bonus for signing up for your product / service, a discount on a membership or even a message about a limited time offer, there should be some sort of hook to get the reader interested.

Some of the best hooks I’ve seen are usually deposit bonuses from bitcoin casinos that want to advertise their services. Another great hook that we saw from a recent Incent press release is “Incent service offers new possibilities for wealth generation

3. Title is everything

As mentioned in the previous section, a great hook can either be part of a title or within the PR itself. Either way, the title should definitely be clickbaity in order to generate the most hits. To clarify, there is a difference between click bait and outright lies. There’s nothing inherently wrong with clickbaity titles but they should at least somewhat match the content of the PR.

4. Proofread

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve received a press release with grammar and spelling issues. If such a PR goes live it ends up damaging your reputation rather than helping spread the word about your product. It’s extremely important that you proofread your press release multiple times before distributing it.

5. A picture is worth a thousand words

Images within a PR are just as important as the words that are in it. While it’s not necessary to have graphics within the text, at the very least you should have an awesome looking featured image. Usually PR services can create images for you, but on the off chance that they won’t, its important to include a high quality image with your product’s logo.

6. Include your social media

Another common mistake I see in press releases is the lack of social media links. Almost all advertisers these days have multiple social media such as twitter, facebook, telegram, medium, reddit etc. If you only include your website link without including your social media you are missing out on potential conversions.

Some readers will check out a company’s twitter before checking out their website, if they have to look for certain social media on the website that is an extra step they might not take. Remember, the goal for press releases are to spread the word and to generate conversions. You should do everything in your power to increase those numbers, and including relevant social media links is a must.

7. Timing matters

Timing for a PR matters. You will generate a lot more traffic publishing something during the week rather than on the weekend. Sometimes you can even coordinate an embargo to publish your PR on a certain date. Most publications will respect an embargo and pushing the PR on multiple platforms at the same time will increase the chance of it going viral and generating buzz.

8. Spread your eggs into multiple baskets

Following up on the previous point, if you are looking for the most impact when publishing your press release, then it’s better to push it on multiple websites. This way you are capturing multiple audiences within the same niche. While different crypto news sites might have some overlap in readers, each have their own audience.

9. Share share share

Once the PR goes live you can still help spread it around by sharing it across the web. You should share the release on your social media as a start. You can also share it from your personal accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. Any extra exposure is always good and will only increase the strength of your message.
