People have offered the weirdest things for sale in exchange for Bitcoin throughout the years. Everything began with the 10,000 Bitcoin pizza ordered by a Bitcoin enthusiast in 2010. Fast forward to today and people are selling cars and even kiosks in exchange for the popular digital currency. But is this a viable business model?

Bitcoin is More Popular Than Ever
A recent Reddit post mentions how someone is selling a kiosk – located in Prague – in exchange for Bitcoin. By the look of the picture, this kiosk is in a prime location, with lots of food traffic on a daily basis. For anyone who is looking to become their own boss as a self-employed individual, it might be well worth the investment in the long run.
Unfortunately, no official price was provided to us, so it is anyone’s guess how much such a kiosk would sell for. It goes without saying this building can be used for just about any purpose, ranging from a food place to tourist information or even selling clothing. Once you own such a building, and the local government approves your business idea, you are all set.
Over the years, some of the strangest things have been put up for sale in exchange for Bitcoin. A kiosk is a more extreme example, although the recent sale of a Tesla in Finland goes to show there are plenty of people willing to use the digital currency. To most people, accepting Bitcoin payments is not just a matter of making ends meet, but also an investment in the future.
This brings us to one of the most intriguing aspects of Bitcoin: it is more than just a form of payment. Granted, the financial aspect of Bitcoin will mostly revolve on exchanging value from person A to person B in the future. But at the same time, the popular digital currency is also an investment, a hedge against falling fiat currency values, and a cheap remittance solution.
Selling goods in exchange for Bitcoin is also a great way to get acquainted with the digital currency in general. Rather than relying on a Bitcoin ATM or exchange platform to obtain, Bitcoin, why not sell some of your unused items for digital currency? All it takes is getting a wallet address to get started.
Bitcoin presents an excellent case for people venturing into other areas of self-employment as well. Platforms such as Etsy allow people to create their own things, share them with the world, and start a small business that way. Dealing with international customers and payment methods can be a struggle. Accepting Bitcoin makes those problems go away, as the digital currency works on a global scale and removes the risk of fraud completely.
