Wallet Review

Many Bitcoin users will have tried their hand at using the official wallet, either in the browser or its mobile counterpart. While this may appear to be one of the most convenient wallet solutions available to date, has a long history of server issues and wallets being inaccessible. Users are advised t only use this wallet solution as a backup solution, rather than making it their primary choice.

Accessing the web version of can be done from any browser, as long as the user notes down their wallet address. Most browsers will remember this long code, but clearing a cache or being forced to reinstall an operating system could lead to data being lost. Luckily for all users, it is possible to back up this wallet to a mobile device, allowing access to funds that way.

On the topic of security. provides two different additional layers. For the browser version, users can enable two-factor authentication, which means they will receive a text message every time someone tries to log into their wallet. Mobile user, on the other hand, can set a four-digit pin code requirement every time the application is accessed. Both security measures are more than adequate, and users are advised to activate these options from day one.

In terms of accessibility, might be one of the smoothest wallet solutions available, if it works. Unfortunately, this is not always the case, as the platform has been subject to various outages throughout the years. This is one of the worrying things for most Bitcoin users, as they are unable to access their funds if goes down. During those moments, there is no way to access either the web or mobile wallet, as they are linked together. Plus, mobile users will experience the annoying issue of not being able to copy and paste a Bitcoin address into the designated field when sending funds.

Bitcoin was originally designed to put the end user in full control of their digital currency at any given time. Using does not offer that functionality, as all transactions are being routed through the company’s servers. Combining this fact with their list of outages over the years, and is far from the Bitcoin wallet solution it could be. Things will hopefully improve over time, but for now, Bitcoin users should look for alternative solutions to store the majority of their funds.

Yeah Blockchain is getting ridiculous. Nothing like wondering if you’ll be able to access your wallet in near future. Three weeks I’ve been trying to logon. Never receive logon email. Tried to reach support through their site but it says my password is invalid. Went through social media to contact to resolve the issue. Like everything else on the internet, I receive no reply back. Of course, I wanted to use my coin to make a purchase since i’m tight on money this week. Guess what??? That isn’t going to happen. The author of this article is 100% right. DO NOT make Blockchain your primary or you’ll be like me. Wondering if all your efforts to obtain the coin was a waste of time because you’ll never see them again. Terrible, Ridiculous website that has no customer service ethics whatsoever.

Blockchain support sucks.. I can’t access my coins as well and support just keeps closing my tickets without answering them.
Useless. I need to get my coins out of there asap but I can’t access them so that’s a problem.

Blockchain was the first wallet I tried. It was one of the best, fast transactions, good fees. But now transactions take longer time and I heard that few accounts have been hacked recently. I’m not saying it is a bad wallet, but I’d recommend to diverse and keep your assets between several wallets.

A terrible purse. I needed to sign a message, prove the ownership of the bitcoin address, there is no such function in my wallet, since there is no address among the imported and private keys, either. I approached the support team with a request to solve the problem, they ignored me in response to my requests, and recently they also banned me. I did not expect this, Do not use this
